Games

Games are my favorite form of media, especially video games.  Video games are unique from books and movies because it makes the player the main protagonist of the work.  They are a form of interactive storytelling that allows players to construct their own specific narratives based on how they play the game.  I think this is a very fun and unique way to incorporate the player in the world and story of the game.

Here are some of the games that I have developed and helped to develop.

A game I developed as part of a team of two other people.  Play as Sun Wukong the Monkey King in this 2D platformer and use your magic staff to fight enemies and make your way to heaven.  I worked mostly on the sprite art, animations, and attack programming.

VigilAnte

A game I developed myself for a Ren'Py game jam competition.  This is a visual novel about an ant detective out for revenge against a man from his past.  The story changes based on the decisions that the player chooses to make.  I designed the characters, programmed the game scenes, and wrote the story.

A game I developed with a team of two other people for a Ren'Py competition.  This is a short visual novel about a girl who gets sucked into her own video game and must find her way back out, battling the entity that put her there in the first place.  I created the art for each character, and I worked on the overall Python programming of the game scenes.
