Art
Art and animation pretty much go hand in hand, so for me, learning about one leads to learning about the other. I loved to draw as a kid, and as I grew older, I learned that I loved learning how to draw better. I don't want to just learn about how art is created, I want to master the techniques that great artists use. It started as a hobby of mine, but it has turned into a great passion. It's often difficult and time-consuming, but I relish the challenge.
Games
Video games are my favorite form of media. I grew up playing a lot of games, and I've always had a lot of fun with them. For a long time, it hadn't occurred to me that I could make a living out of creating video games, but when it did, I couldn't help myself. I got into programming because of it, and the satisfaction I get from seeing a game mechanic work currently or a story that I came up with unfold in a video game is always rewarding. There are so many great games out there that it's hard for me not to try and make my own.
Web Design
Web Design wasn't something that I was initially interested in, but I've found that it's a great way to merge my technical and artistic skills in order to help clients design beautiful and functional websites. I want to use my skills to help people and be of service to my community, and web design allows me to do just that. I want to help people build their brand, grow their business, and find success while still being able to unleash my creativity.
I grew up watching and loving cartoons, so animation as a medium is something that I love to see and hope to create myself. I think that there are so many great stories and ideas that animation can convey that other forms of media might not be able to achieve. It's a way for artists to express themselves through the movement of their drawings, adding an extra dynamic element to it. It's a way to breathe even more life into already incredible artwork. There are so many high quality animations in today's world, that it's impossible for me to not be inspired by what I see. I want to learn as much as I can about the principles and techniques of animation, and about what it takes to successfully work in the animation industry. I'm always working to hone my own skills in the craft so that I can create the very thing that inspires me.
